וְלֹֽא־שָׁמַ֥ע הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־הָעָ֑ם כִּֽי־הָיְתָ֤ה סִבָּה֙ מֵעִ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה לְמַ֜עַן הָקִ֣ים אֶת־דְּבָר֗וֹ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֤ר יְהוָה֙ בְּיַד֙ אֲחִיָּ֣ה הַשִּׁילֹנִ֔י אֶל־יָרָבְעָ֖ם בֶּן־נְבָֽט׃
Jadi raja tidak mendengarkan rakyat itu, sebab hal itu merupakan ketentuan dari Yang Mahakekal, supaya Ia meneguhkan firman-Nya yang telah diucapkan Yang Mahakekal dengan perantaraan Ahia, orang Silo, kepada Yerobeam bin Nebat.
